What Are Sips?
assembling sips panels
SIPS (structurally insulated panel systems) are the newest form of timber frame construction in the UK with unrivalled levels of insulation, air tightness and versatility. The SIPS also offer a good environmental answer to mainstream construction.

A two part polyurethane foam sandwiched between two sheets of OSB (orientated strand board) Kingspan TEK SIPS panels are both BBA approved and BBA award winners for innovation; they are also a Zero Ozone depletion product. SIPS already surpass the expected new building requirements that come into effect in 2006.

With its innovative roof panel system and high levels of inbuilt insulation, SIPS structures can be erected, insulated and weatherproofed in record time with the need for only one set of tradesmen.

Once built, SIPS houses require minimal heating due to excellent insulating properties therefore dramatically reducing running costs and damage to the environment.

Kingspan urethane has been rated AS AN 'A' Rated Overall sustainable product.
